I’m rejecting the hustle culture…
Hey you,
Do you ever have those days or moments where you feel so overwhelmed, stressed or anxious, you end up feeling so awful nothing gets done?!
For me, it’s the constant barrage of notifications, emails, text messages, the pressure we put on ourselves and the pressure from society to have a great job, be successful, have the perfect home, eat well, raise children.
Not to mention the hustle culture.
Hustle Culture is something I’ve personally found myself actively rejecting over the last few weeks- and let me tell you- it feels bloody great.
Remember earlier in the week when I was telling you how amazing it was just to have my bare feet on the grass at our allotment?
Well in all honesty- there were a million and one things on my to-do list that I ‘should have been doing’. Anyone relate?!
But, I knew that some sun on my face, and grass under my bare feet, would fill me back up, so that I could go and give the rest of the day my best and show up to do all the things I needed to do.
I’m not saying you should all ditch your responsibilities and move into an eco-frendly yurt.
BUT
What I am saying is, it’s okay to take a few steps back from the hustle culture we’ve all found ourselves in.
In fact- I’m actively encouraging you to do so.
Find those pockets of calm. Find those pockets of joy.
And if you’re so busy that you need to schedule time for this, then do it.
Think about it-
What is it in your life that actually makes you feel good?
What actually matters to you?
What do you stand for?
How do you find peace?
If you have no clue what the answers are, that’s okay too- even that in itself shows you something.
Reflection is SUCH a powerful tool- something that is free for each of us.
I have more guidance on reflection and how to do it, and how to use it constructively to help change your life for the better, coming for you in a couple of days.
It’s something I've been pouring all my free time into and it’s even been approved by a qualified psychotherapist.
I know you’re going to love it, and I know it can really help you find calm and joy.
More on that soon,
